The street style in India is different from that in the USA and European countries. There is a big difference. People in the western countries like to follow big celebrities for street style. The streetwear in these countries includes flashy, colorful, and color-blocked menswear pieces. Baggy pants and oversized sweatshirts are also major styles when it comes to the American streetwear.
Western Street Style
The western type of street fashion is gaining popularity in India, but still, the scenario is different here. Also, there is a difference in the brands that are available in India and the western countries. Americans prefer expensive hyped brands and items when it comes to street fashion. Some can spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on clothes and shoes.
These clothes are super expensive because of them being produced by big-name brands. These brands make trendy, high-quality items and if its something unique or seen on celebrities, it will get popular in no time.
One other thing about brands charging so much for a clothing piece is them collaborating with other brands. Most of the items that are produced by two brands collaborating are very expensive. When it comes to India where street fashion is gaining popularity, most of these big brands that are available in the western and European markets, are not available here. We have to stick to the regular fashion brands that are available in India for different style occasions.
Streetwear does not mean wearing these big-name brands, it about experimenting with your style and sometimes going out of the box.

Flat sneakers are also seen all around the country as well.. There are a ton of chunky sneaker designs you can choose from if you want to get a pair.
You can see that the plain minimal sneakers are super popular in the European countries and North America. The color white is the most popular for the minimal sneakers(white sneakers are super versatile). The minimal sneakers are not seen much in India as the sneakers you see guys wearing here are chunkier and with details on them. Maybe in the coming years, minimal sneakers could be a trend in India.
When it comes to what should you be wearing, there are a lot of options. There are a lot of street fashion shoe options to get high tops, chunky sneakers, flat sneakers, etc. Analyzing the current shoe trends, you can get some chunky shoes and some essential street style shoes like the high top Converse, and Vans Old Skool in the black and white colorway, which is one of the most popular streetwear sneakers.
For creating different outfit combinations, you don’t need to get clothing pieces from a designer or luxury brands, there are a lot of mid-range and budget brands that offer very good quality of clothes.
