Trends are an important part of our lives. Whether in fashion or in any other thing, we need new trends. Not all but most of us like to follow trends and stay fresh.
Let’s take the face mask for an example, because of the COVID-19 pandemic it has become a necessary trend that we all have to follow. We will wear the face mask till the pandemic stops and even after that.
It makes us realize that new trends can come anytime and in any form.
When it comes to fashion there are many stylish trends out there for men. Some brand new and others back from the past. With the coming of these new fashion trends, some of these old ones that were popular yesterday are not considered stylish today. Some of these styles will make you feel strange if you wear these outdated trends now.
Do good to your wardrobe by getting rid of these styles if you already own them. Get yourself some fresh new styles that will make you look better, instead of these outdated styles. Some of these styles were never a big trend but people have been wearing them for a long time which needs to be stopped as there are a lot better alternates available.
These are the clothing items men should never read and get rid of —
1. Ultra Distressed Jeans
You might have seen these jeans on celebs and all around for the last few years but as cleaner jeans are taking over, these over distressed jeans are getting outdated now. They never even looked good.
Avoid getting these ripped jeans that have big holes and are distressed from top to bottom. There are other better jeans that have a light distressing and looks a lot better that you should get instead.
2. Jeans with Side Stripes
Jeans with side stripes were a popular trend in the last few years. These pants were famous in the Asian countries and were mostly worn by young guys. Just as the super distressed jeans, these jeans need to go. Side stripes in jeans was such an ugly trend that it did not deserve to become popular. More people are now switching to classier and plain jeans that is a big trend now.
3. Long/oversized Cardigans
Oversized clothing and 80s and 90s styles are a big trend but that doesn’t mean you should in any way wear oversized cardigans. These long open front cardigans look bad on guys.
If you’re a skinny or slim guy, this cardigan will look like its hanging on you and will also make you look smaller. Ditch these oversized cardigans and get yourself some fitting ones. If you want to go oversized, go for hoodies and sweatshirts.
4. Skinny/narrow Fit Jeans
Narrow fit jeans have a tighter fit from the knee down that hugs your legs. These jeans were very trendy a couple of years ago but not anymore.
The narrow fit is not comfortable because it hugs your lower legs tight and it is a hassle putting on and removing the jeans. These pants aren’t cool anymore and more men are switching to the regular fit jeans that are trendy and look classier.
5. Crocs
If you’re still wearing crocs, you definitely need an update. The crocs trend is long gone and you should avoid buying or wearing them now. They don’t even look good and some people wear them with jeans and chinos and that looks terrible. Avoid wearing crocs now and consider upgrading to flip flops or slides that look a lot better than crocs.
6. Velcro shoes
Velcro shoes have three or four straps or bands instead of laces on them. These shoes are really outdated now. They were never really a big trend but men have been wearing these ugly shoes for years.
These shoes are originally made for kids. Velcro’s will look very odd if you wear them now. Avoid spending your money on these shoes when there are a lot of better alternates available.
7. Small sunglasses
These tiny crazy shaped sunglasses were rocked by a lot of celebrities in late 2010s and even now. Both male and female celebrities used to rock these sunglasses. These sunglasses come in various shapes like round, diamond, etc. People still wear these ugly sunglasses that should be avoided.
This was one of the ugliest trends ever and there was no need for these sunglasses to even exist. If you want to get a good pair of sunglasses, go for something like the classic wayfarers or aviators.
8. Driving moccasins
Driving moccasins came strong a very long time ago and are still worn by people all around the world. They are not popular now as they were once. Most people think of dressing up driving moccasins and wear them on formal occasions like with suits and business casuals but you should avoid it. These shoes look outdated now and there are better options available like the penny loafers, and horsebit loafers that were first made by Gucci and are now made by various other brands at affordable prices.
